The Dark Fae Realm is the exact opposite of the Light Fae, in fact there is only vegetation in the places that battles between the two has been fought. This Realm isn't exactly a desert or anything just that Dark Fae are so attuned to shadows that shadows control the land. There was a war going on between Demons and the Dark Fae but that stopped when the Little Prince was born when they adored, when he ran away they first thought the Demons didn't keep their deal and kept the Prince for themselves, so war broke out again. The new Prince is someone who had always disliked the Little Prince.
